Let's talk about Draco Malfoy!
Honestly, I disliked him until HBP, where he really grew up and all of that.
I feel sorry for him, Harry goes and cuts him up for apparently being with the Death Eaters. And Draco was being forced to by Voldemort...

Yeah, Jo designed Draco to be extremely one-sidedly 'evil' until about that point. Once we get there we realize he's just an unstable, scared 'little' kid. He doesn't want to do these evil things. He doesn't think it's right. But he's forced to. Draco becomes dimensional around there. (Actually, this might actually qualify more as part of the book discussion forum, but who cares, I guess? I'm just really OCD when it comes to some things ;D)

I know right. I loved the fact that when Voldemort asked the students to join him, Draco didn't step forward. And he did later, for his mum.
That was really awesome.

Yeah. That was a really good scene. Another good thing was that BOTH times he tried to do a Killing Curse (Dumbledore and Harry) he froze up and couldn't do it. Or he wouldn't do it. And then his 'friends' (whether fellow Death Eaters or fellow schoolboys) do it for him.

I'm going to change the topic of this post to 'Movie Draco in Comparison to Book Draco', as there are a lot of similarities there. If we wish to discuss purely Draco in the movie Universe, please do so in the Study Area of the forum. Thanks you!

I think Draco wanted to be good, but he was scared of his parents and Voldemort. He was good.
