Hello, members of Pottermore Experience! As a new month is ushered in, we have some news for you concerning Pottermore Experience and where it will be headed in the near future.
Staff Changes and Additions
Firstly, our former Head of Gryffindor, miniexs, had a change of heart and is now Head of Hufflepuff. Your honorable Headmistress has found that removing herself from the Head of House post is actually a welcome change, and now she is taking full liberty to appear in all of the house common rooms. Meanwhile, to fill the recent gap in the Gryffindor Head of House post, maiplayswithknives has filled that role with considerable success.
Head Boy, Head Girl and Updates on Other Positons[/i]
Congratulations to our recently appointed Head Boy and Head Girl, mart86 and orchidbreezefc! They were met with unanimous approval by all current staff once we had narrowed down our decisions for these staff posts. As Head Boy and Girl, mart86 and orchidbreezefc have gained moderation roles in the forum in addition to the chat.
They are full members of the staff, and are to be treated with any respect that would be received by the Heads of Houses or the Headmistress.
Prefect applications are still in the review stage and will probably be decided towards the end of this month or early next month. We apologize for the long wait, but we are not rushed with making our decision at the moment, and wish to make our decisions with the same intense consideration that was made for Head Boy and Head Girl. All members are encouraged to apply for Prefect if they haven't done so already.
We also have far too few applicants that applied for Quidditch Captain, and we wish to have a wider pool to pick from before we make our decision. Prefect applicants are also encouraged to apply for Quidditch Captain. Both application forms can be found in Diagon Alley.
Concerning Activity
Pottermore Experience will be advertised on tumblr and twitter this week in order to help gain new members. Any referral made by an already existing member to a new member will earn both members five points to their current or future house on Pottermore Experience.
We also encourage everyone to start posting on the forums thoughtful, discussion fueling posts, as activity lately has been less than satisfactory. Good posts containing theories, opinions or acts reflecting positively upon your house can earn you house points.
Clubs Currently Postponed
All student activities are currently postponed while Pottermore sorts out their glitches. Clubs will open to all students once Pottermore is open to all in October.
Headmistress' Absence
From September 9th to October 1st your headmistress, Appingo, will be touring the British countryside as a well deserved break. She will be sure to check in occassionally, but during her travels, Pottermania13 will be acting as Headmistress. All issues during Appingo's absence will be handled by Pottermania13 and forwarded to Appingo for review when the Owls find her.
